a short story written and read by Brentley Jordan's, the strangers in my family room. Imagine this. It's saturday morning, you sleep in a bit. Get up and go downstairs for your regular cup of coffee. You walk into the family room and plop down into your favorite chair. As you look up from your steaming coffee with its aroma filling the air. You notice two strangers sitting on the couch just opposite you. You actually recognize one of them but completely forget her name. As for the other one, you're sure you've never seen him before. You look back down quickly and continue to sip your coffee, hoping to go unnoticed. You really don't feel like engaging these strangers whom you know nothing about. So you don't, after you finish your coffee and finally look up again, your mystery guests have left your spouse walks in the room and says, honey, I had such an amazing morning. I woke up early to enjoy a nice walk and met up with our neighbor and her new husband. They had so many questions about Christianity. Unfortunately I had to run to get Clara to soccer practice, but I invited them into our family room, told them to make themselves at home and told them that you'd be down any moment with your coffee and would be happy to hear and interact with their questions so I can't wait to hear how it went. Were you able to encourage them, have you ever walked into your church family room, sat down in your favorite spot and failed to engage those unfamiliar folks faces, people sitting near you, what might God have had in store for you and for them?
