It began in Rutherford with a single 30 acre vineyard property in 1983. In 1991 2 mothers faced every parent's worst nightmare. Their Children were diagnosed with cancer. Melissa helms and research Rommel met at ST joseph's Children's Hospital while their infant daughters were undergoing cancer treatments through research advancements. Both of their daughters survived and are now healthy young adults. However, through this experience, Melissa and Resa were inspired to continue fighting pediatric cancer. Together, they founded the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation on september 6th 2000 and six, Wynn Macau debuted as the second property in the Wynn resorts family and the company's inaugural resort in china with its 594 stylish rooms and suites, a sumptuous spa and salon and refined selection of luxury brands. Wynn Macau ushered in a new era of sophisticated resort choices in the burgeoning chinese territory. Since when Macau opened, Forbes travel Guide and other industry experts have consistently recognized both powers with awards that solidify the resort's reputation as a top destination among discerning travelers.
