This is an exert from bodybuilding dot com on how to bench press Step one, set your feet. Although your foot placement isn't as crucial on the bench as it is for the dead lift your squat, it's still important. Your feet are the start of a strong base and are where you draw your power from. Try to keep your feet back towards your but as far as you can while keeping them flat on the ground, depending on your height and body type, this is going to look a little different for everyone.
