the vulnerability builds love and connection. Vulnerability is one of the great paradoxes of life. Most of us have been taught the benefit of being strong, confident and capable. We learned to hide our imperfections or struggles so as not to be mocked or humiliated or Sina's week. We hide weaknesses and insecurities from our family, friends, colleagues and lovers for fear of losing respect and love. Ironically, trying to impress or pretend increases the likelihood off losing love and respect when someone loves or is impressed by the pretend you they don't have a chance to love or be impressed by the rial. You countless relationships, personal and professional, are destroyed by these illusions because lies eventually get found out faking it. Whether it be a knowledge, ability, emotion or bed sets up barriers to growth, intimacy and love. It is impossible to get close to someone who is not being authentic, because a certain amount of distance is necessary to maintain the deception. Being authentic and riel is a gift to others that allows them to open up in return. being you with all your perfect imperfections and all your beautiful humanness opens the door to genuine love and intimacy.
