Hello. Hello and welcome. This is I, Isa Hillebrand. And thank you so much for joining me on the gift to shift podcast. I'm excited about this journey, and I wanted to introduce myself and give you a little bit more information about who I am and why I decided to get started. So my background is in psychology until development and speech communications. I'm a transformational coach. I've mentored and coached entrepreneurs for over 18 years. Prior to that, I was a director of Child Life Services, which is a program that supports its developmental and emotional needs of Children while they're in the hospital. In addition to my coaching practice, I am a mom. I have six year old twins and I've been married for close to 14 years. So just to tell you how I got started in podcasting, this is a really funny story. So first of all, I decided to start this podcast just a little over eight weeks ago. So eight weeks from the time of this recording, and prior to that I had never heard upon us before. That makes me laugh every time I hear say it because I think Oh, my Gosh, not one episode. Guys like I had never heard of podcast before and you would think that that would deter me. But now, thinking about it, it actually has out means so much, mainly because I had no comparison whatsoever. It was just me and my vision. So my girlfriend Alison, who has her own podcast culture changers and she also has a course to teach new podcasters called press play, asked on her i g account who wants to share their voice. And I remember the exact moment the moment that thought came into my head. It was a yes. It was a solid Yes, it's exactly what I had been calling in. It was something that I had a thought about prior, not podcasting, but sharing my voice. And so immediately after that, I thought was the second thought and that the second thought said, Absolutely not. You have no experience. You don't know what you're doing and who wants to hear you anyway. And so I remember saying to myself, OK, you have a decision to make here, and it was really interesting because, you know, all this back and forth happens to most of us hundreds of times of day, that thought that says, Don't you, dear, Don't you dare go outside your comfort zone? Have you ever had that at internal conversation within your own head? The contrast ing opinions. And I remember thinking, I have to change the way that I make a decision and essentially, that's what I did. I shifted the way I made decisions. It has really been the process that's led me to this point in time, and I must admit it does take practice and it has to be done consistently. It's like building a muscle. But decision making is a skill that can be very supportive for you if you have the right tools. And so I just use my tools. And I knew that my initial thought the gut reaction was really the God thought, and it was really the thought that I needed to move towards. I needed to trust myself in that process that all will be well, and what I've learned this past year is that God always meets you at the point of action. So I want you to know that pivoting and shifting for me have not always been that simple. or clear. But there are tools and skills that you could learn to get support that will allow you to move in the direction that you want and really start creating the life that you desire. It's my intention here at the gift to shift podcast, to create a platform and space to allow change and growth by sharing stories, sharing tools and listening from others and creating a community for the purpose of healing. We definitely need lots of healing in our world today and the purpose of joy and freedom. It's really my call to action, my call to serve and to ignite, change and shift at the root level, and this is really a part of the revolution. It's part of the revolution, off healing and joy and freedom. And it's really me just doing my part, I hope, and perhaps this will inspire you whatever that may look like to a line to your highest and greatest good. If you would please subscribe and rate and review the gift to shift podcast on your favorite listening platform, my shows will be a little under an hour, really focusing on uncovering the process of shifting and pivoting in a way that supports you. I plan on having some really fascinating individuals who have had significant changes in their lives and are willing to share with us what that look like, especially when it's been difficult a few times.
