Close your eyes and begin by taking a few deep breaths. Notice any sensations of temperature pressure, contact with the chair you are sitting in, just allow your awareness to non judgmentally receive these sensations. They're not good or bad. They just are the sensations just exist and now become aware of any thoughts that arise and imagine these thoughts as leaves floating on a stream, gently moving along with the current. Try not to get too attached to any one thought. Just recognize the thoughts as they appear and watch them as they gently move along downstream. Not judging the thoughts as good or bad, but again, simply allowing them to exist. And you may feel a pull to get onto the leaf with the thought to be pulled into its energy or emotion. But try to just stay seated there on the banks of the stream, not judging the thought as good or bad, not judging yourself for having the thought either. And again, noticing any sensations that you are feeling right now, noticing how your body feels as you slowly breathe in and breathe out, allowing whatever thoughts or whatever sensations to just be as they are. Not good, not bad. Just being, noticing any sensations that you are feeling right now, noticing how your body feels as you slowly breathe in and breathe out, allowing whatever thoughts or whatever sensations to just be as they are not good. Not bad. Just being take one final slow breath in and breathe out before opening your eyes and looking to maintain this nonjudgmental awareness for the rest of your day.
