our circle leader was a psychic medium who connected with departed souls. I attended the circle to focus on spiritual development and expand my intuition. When sessions touched on mediumship and connecting with departed souls, I felt a little intimidated and like it wasn't for me But one still morning while I sat in quiet meditation at five a.m. An energy moved in close Deborah Moffett, an emphatic male voice, said whoever he was, he knew that I could hear him even though it was news to me. This was the start to my awareness of how thin the veils are between the worlds of the living and the departed. For the first time, I truly realized how close our departed loved ones are to us. I asked the departed soul who spoke to me to please step back while I finished my meditation and he did a short time later I awoke to a dream. I watched as several 1940s black cars pull up in the drive outside my house. I know that people want to connect with me but I'm hiding and watching unsure of what to do. I hope they won't find me. Those in the cars were the young girl and members of the resistance who knew that I could hear and see them on a subtle level they found me and I discovered the story of their courage as they struggled against a terrible oppressive power. I have a strong sense that they felt the memory of what they had done was being forgotten and they wanted it brought back to life and shared the writing process was exciting. As I watched the scenes unfold in my mind's eye and wrote at high speed. The first draft took only about five months to complete, though I could sense the overall structure of the book, I discovered the scenes with excitement as they were revealed during the writing sessions in the loft, with the wood stove burning downstairs.
