as students were expected to show up For four years, five days a week, 48 total months. We had to show up for class, show up to turn in assignments and stand front with continuous motivation and while we're at it, we gotta make friends, make good choices, have three meals a day and the list goes on. We didn't expect any of our own personal hardships along the way. We didn't anticipate the challenges that we were able to conquer through our own strengths. We especially didn't expect a pandemic that was shred some of our high school experiences and turned them viral. But in the midst of it all, we showed up And today in iron press graduation gowns. In this final stretch of these past four years, we've shown up to the sudden rest of our lives as graduates of charette high school, we are expected to contribute to our world as educated and skilled citizens. We are expected to take what we've learned in 48 months and applied toward making this world a better place. Some of us will leave today to start new jobs, serve our country, become the first in our families to attend college. But if there is one thing each of us in class of 2022 have in common and have learned along the way, it is the resilience. We each carry Rhode Island state model is simply hope and through crossing this finish line, we have embodied just that hope to make the best out of the adversities that life will inevitably throw our way, hope to keep on growing hope to become even better than we have proven to be. As high schoolers hope to make our loved ones even prouder. Five days a week, 48 months, four years have led us to show up today the way we all know how to a finish line that we and our loved ones work towards and hope for.
