Hi Hello, Welcome to closer Together with Kari M. So that's me. I'm carry em on the show. We will discuss any and all topics that my guests bring to the table. My vision is to create an open discussion about the things that light others up in a world where our differences often tear us apart. My hope is that this show will shine a light on how, when we come together to share our different perspectives, we find that we may not be so far apart. The one rule on the show is that I the host, do not pick the topic. Each guest comes with a topic in mind they want to discuss and we go from there. Hi folks, welcome to my very first episode of the podcast closer together with Kari M and if all goes according to plan, this will be the only one that I do solo. Unless of course I changed my mind. I want to shake things up because I reserve that right as a human. I already gave you a brief overview of what I want this podcast to be in the intro, but I wanted to break it down a bit further in a quick little mini episode just to start things up. So I'm carrying him and I'm a certified life coach. I specialize in helping people get in touch with their bodies in a way that helps them shed their fears, work with their brains and start doing more of the things I love this comes about in a number of ways. For some people it's quitting their uninspiring 9-5 for some, it's finding balance and peace in a big life change something like becoming a parent or doing a big move and for others it's just gaining a new perspective on their current life so they can appreciate what they already have and stop feeling so groggy. But no matter what the specific goals my clients have it all boils down to one common theme. They want to live a more inspired life and chase your dreams. And that's where this idea for this podcast came from. When I work with my clients, there is always something that lights them up. I started realizing that everyone has these passions that they could go on and on about for hours if I let them and as an outsider to watch that light just turn on in their brain. It's glorious. I love it. It's my favorite part of my job. And so that's where closer together was born. I loved the idea of hosting a podcast where I didn't pick the topics sure there is stuff that I could drone on and on about episode after episode and yeah, some of you may love it, but for me a variety is the spice of life. So I started reaching out to the people who have inspired me and I asked them if you could talk about anything you wanted to on a podcast, a what would it be and be would you want to be on my podcast about That turns out loads of them did. And they all had vastly different ideas of what they wanted to talk about. I had struck gold at least gold for me. So there you have it, that is who I am.
