Hellooo animation students; the future of the industry! With a vast range & a lot of creativity, I've an arsenal of characters to tap into to make something truly unique & unforgettable for your project. An industry Pro, I've some cool credits- in my 3 years in the industry, I’ve voiced a recurring multi-platform videogame character; worked-on Non-Profit national ad campaigns; voice a recurring character in an award winning podcast now in it’s 4th season; narrated multiple roles in audiobooks and yes- voiced student animation films. I'm passionate about character analysis; sussing-out a role based on a tick, or a physical feature for vocal presence, finding nuggets in what’s written & what’s inferred- the seed for imagination to flourish. This is the ‘stuff’ I thrive off of!

A classically trained musician, I've a wide vocal range to really play with, as well as the technical skills to support the sound. I’ve also training in VO for Animation with awareness of pinpoint vocal placement for production. Understanding a character spawned from your imagination, this is a collaborative process. Being true to what you’ve envisioned & even sometimes surprising you with something you didn’t know you wanted, is my priority, while ensuring a project doesn't get stuck in the prep phase. Pitch, pace, placement, tone, age & accent are just some of the facets I explore.

Creature sounds, witches, chill surfers, woke teens, you name it- I love the variety in striving to be a chameleon. I also do impersonations like Harley Quinn, Jennifer Coolidge & Stitch.

How do I hire Kim?

How do I pay Kim?

Do you do accents?

Oh my yes. Latinx; Minnesotan; French (European/Canadian); British (incl. Cockney|East End); German; American (Southern)... these are just some of them.

How do you create a character?

I dive into your script to suss-out a character analysis, drawing from what's there on the page & reading between the lines to get specific with background story. As mentioned, pitch, pace, placement, tone, age & accent are the tip of the ice burg.

Do you voice male roles?

Why yes, I do. Now, I ain't no bass (if you're looking for voice alterations with SFX, I do do that), but I have narrated an audiobook as a young Latino; posh British gentlemen or schoolboy is well within my means; I do a great surfer dude... ask!

You noted 1 script per order?

That's correct. Perhaps you've a series of scripts for a larger project, or if you've multiple scripts this could be more akin to file splitting.

What file types do you offer?

I offer a variety of encoding types, specific to your request. But the default HG Wav file is this: HQ Wav file = 16 bit, 44.1 khz mono WAV MP3/WAV; bits; kpbs; khz; mono/stereo- all customizable. You let me know.

Do you do foreign language scripts?

I do. Having studied translation, diction, interpretation & delivery of foreign languages (i.e. German, Italian, French & Spanish) to performance level in my BMusic honours Specialization Voice Performance, I've transferable skills.

About Kim

Kim Ramón is capable of a variety ages, with a wide vocal range available to her, having studied music voice performance. Her post secondary education allowed her to passionately practice the study and performance of text, more often than not in foreign languages (including Spanish, German, French and Italian, all of which she is confident in her pronunciation). She has performed on stage in musicals, operas as well as plays. Having over a decade of performance experience, she is comfortable in self direction, as well as working with an array of directorial styles. Her voice over studies were instructed by industry professionals through Kim Hurdon Casting. Pronunciation and comfort with medical terminology is also strength of hers. A professional and personable experience are at the core of Kim's standards!
