Chapter 10 a certain trumpet. The Leadership of George W. Bush. My first impression of George W. Bush was one of utter fear and intimidation. It's funny how impressions can fool us. He was making the rounds at headquarters, and you could hear his booming voice coming from down the hall. He spoke confidently and had a frenetic energy level that had the contagious effect of quickening your pace. Even then, he seemed to have a nickname for each of his father's staffers, quickly assigning a moniker assertively, he would greet, thank, and then challenge each of us to keep. On the morning of Sunday May 10th, however, the surgeon told Jackson's wife, the general would not last the day, and she gently broke the news to her husband, Dr Jackson's head.
