Darren and steps being be business has now been up on winning for two months. With the drive less than 40 minutes from Barcelona airport, they were banking on the five kilometres of golden sandy beaches at Cala Fell being a bankable winner with families mhm. Mhm, yeah, can. A fella is the gateway to the Costa Dorada, and it's got loads to offer a way of entertainment. There's Children's clubs, plenty for Mom or Dad. But three bookings in those two months is a disaster. It could put their dream of a new life in Spain in jeopardy. Yeah, they scrambled to finish renovations to cash the start of the season, but a dodgy roof and Duff electrics wasn't quite what they had in mind. And that's on top of their vision of creating a boutique holiday destination. Even Darren doing most of the work, hasn't prevented a stampede of euros heading for the exit. And then some advanced bookings placed with the previous owners pulled out when they realised those owners had moved on the squeeze on Darren and Steph. Savings means one empty account. In a matter of weeks or less, Steph can find some more bookings it's back to her website. Nothing is improved by two online reviews, saying the traditional Spanish breakfast step put together was, well, disappointing. It wasn't any old sliced white. It was the artisan best from the local bakery served as usual, with the standard strong coffee and hot, frothy milk, the sweet rolls called bolus or jam toast, Mao cheese or simply Maria crackers dunked in hot milk. It's left Steph wondering what she's supposed to do next.
