Every year, 6.5 million dogs and cats enter animal shelters in the US alone. Sadly, 1.5 million are euthanized. This is a national tragedy and it has to stop. The good news is we're making progress. Thanks to the work of no kill animal shelters. One million innocent lives were saved this past year, but next year we can do even better.
