This city shaped me the sights, the sounds, everything a beautiful first. The buzz of constant change makes this place my home, my parents are curious creatures. They took me everywhere. Everything I wanted to become was all around me at all times. I sighed and pulled out my phone. Are you awake? Welcome home. Instead of a text. My phone rang. Margot likes to call me instead of texting because she talks so fast and is super impatient with how slow I text Margo. Do you wanna come over and play? I blurt it out. Oh, you mean hang out? She giggled. She didn't say it but I knew what she meant. Play was for little kids. We were soon turning 13. We don't play. We hang Caitlin Payne always dreaded her first day at a new school. Certainly not beautiful. Like some of the other girls at 18, she was a bit older but not enough to make her stand out. There was something else, there was something about her that made people look twice. she knew deep down that she was different but she wasn't exactly sure how.
