we live in a world where one in 97 people have been forced to flee their homes. There is an estimated 79.5 million forcibly displaced people around the world. This figure includes almost 46 million internally displaced people and around 26 million refugees, of which only 3% have access to higher education. One of the main obstacles facing forcibly displaced populations when applying for high education or seeking employment is a lack of recognition of prior qualifications acquired in their country of origin.
