We found the wreckage, but there's no sign of him. Steve Fossett was a skilled pilot that broke more than 100 aviation records around the world, but he crashed flying his airplane in the Sierra Nevada mountains, a place that he knew like the back of his hand. Faucet was no stranger to downdrafts, but on that particular day he was flying too low and too close to the mountains, and that was a deadly miscalculation. In the spring of 2000 and three, strange things began happening at America's most famous national park. The smell of sulfur was everywhere, the tallest geyser in the world that can go 50 years without erupting first to life. Not long after a group of bison collapsed and died victims of poisonous fumes below the ground, we lost half the herd. It was terrible. An enormous dome of molten rock was forming under Yellowstone. It's gonna be hard to stay out of the water when you see the white, sandy beaches and turquoise waves of Barbados. One of the best ways to experience the island is from above and below the water. A snorkel tour, our favorite starts with a warm welcome aboard the El Tigre, where you'll depart on a smooth cruise to the Folkestone Underwater Park and Marine Reserve. The Gowalla Oilfield in eastern Saudi Arabia is the largest producing field in the world, five million barrels a day. Problem is, the Saudis have been sucking oil out of Gar War since 1951. Production is down 8% from last year, and the known reserves are almost half gone. Saudi Arabia is running out of oil, and the Saudis know it. The people of the oriented region of Ecuador face a series of health problems in their communities, including access to potable water, lack of access to healthcare and malnutrition. Drinking water samples taken during certified inspections of Texaco's remediated sites found that the harmful contamination is not from oil. 90% of the samples contained human or animal waste, contributing to widespread health problems and hospital admissions.
