In this tutorial, we'll show you how to build the animated mockup. You see here in just a few minutes. Let's get started. First, we'll create a new project folder. We're going to simply click the add project button from the sidebar and rename the folder. Let's call the new folder magazine. Now we'll click over to the surface store to select and download a surface. You can select all unlocked on the store to quickly see the surfaces you have access to depending on your subscription, you can search by keyword or surface number from the search bar. We'll search for magazine 2122 and drag and drop that surface into the new project folder we just created once the download is complete, click the edit button next, we'll drag and drop artwork onto the surface to make it easier. We've provided some artwork for you. Drag the icon found on the upper right of this tutorial window onto the surface. You can of course also use your own files, live surface supports drag and drop for vector video and image files. Once you've dropped the file onto the surface, use the mini art board to resize and position the artwork on the surface. However, you like your adjustments will be rendered in real time. Now we'll press play on the snapshots tool bar to preview how the video file will play back on the surface. We can toggle focus between the art board and the preview to get a better view of our artwork and fine tune the layout. Next, we're going to drag and drop a vector PDF text file on top of the existing artwork, we've provided that file for you in the upper right corner of this tutorial window. Once that's placed, we can begin to customize the surface and the artwork for this tutorial. We'll select the video art and assign foil aluminum artwork from the material drop down by selecting the adjustments icon, we can quickly customize the material settings. Here, we'll set the smoothness level sliders to be full range and we'll also set the transparency to its maximum value from the snapshots bar. We can click play again to preview our surface with the new material settings to export your high res rendering, click the export icon, select export video and set a quality preset. Keep in mind that video renderings can take a bit of time to complete. So depending on your hardware, you may wanna select medium or low presets for faster rendering and export. Once the export completes, you can open your concept file in quick time or any other media player. We encourage you to try this tutorial again using your own artwork and video files, experiment with different material settings or try this with other surfaces from the surface store. Thanks for watching.
