My name is Chloe. I'm 13 years old, and in my life I have known fear. When I was four years old, I walked into my parents room and I saw my mom shooting up heroin. When I was five e, I saw my mom through a snow shovel my dad's head and beat his face up with beer can. When I was six, my mom told me that I would be harmed if I told other adults what was being done to me and my siblings. Ever since I can remember, I lived with abuse, neglect, and I saw how it all affected me and my siblings. Trauma top me fear. But with the help received in novels, I learned that I am not responsible for what was done to me. Today I'm living with courage, the courage to confront my mother in court, and Sarah let her about what she did to me. It took a while to realize that the past is not my fault.
