About 50 years before old John Purdue came to Indiana from Ohio, American troops fought the Kickapoo Indians in the battle of typical new. Their victory won the land that became West Lafayette and made it possible to form Purdue University in 18 69. 100 years later, Purdue was yet again the site of a major battle of ideals. A small group of determined students banded together to demand change, armed with bricks alone not to break but to build. Speaking truth to power, they changed the course of history and rebuilt the foundations of Purdue, one brick at a time. This is the story.
