Character spots-both funny, dramatic and quirky-these are Michael's greatest strengths! Animation/Storyteller/New York wiseguy mafiosa and funny voices. Michael Ciulla excels at funny, dramatic, sensitive, sincere, angry, mature, sarcastic, gritty and theatrical voices. e-Learning, telephony, educational, instructional and documentary narration. Anything requiring clear and articulate speech. Mature and confident-sounding. His 'natural' voice is a warm, rich baritone. While he has employed that voice thousands of times in straight-read commercial, corporate and e-learning projects, he is also able to go way 'over-the-top'! Michael is a vocal chameleon, capable of wearing many, many different hats. While he does indeed speak English and has been paid many times over the years to employ many different dialects and characters. He also has voiced a wide range of animals and assorted inanimate objects! Michael's Demo, containing extensive, individual audio samples, available upon request.

I've done thousands of voiceovers-for the big guys (nationals) and the not-so-big guys on radio, television, cyberspace, and scores of corporate and industrial productions.
I've been heard in museums, recorded books, even inside toys!
Shucks, you've probably seen me many times on NBC's ˜Law and Order telling Lieutenant Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) "I told ya-I don't know nutting'!
I have represented many corporate clients as an on-camera host. I've also performed many leading roles in theatrical productions from Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams; Gilbert and Sullivan to Lerner and Lowe; Tom Stoppard to Luigi Pirandello. My theatrical training and experience provide a great resource and 'skillset' for my voice work.
I'd like to think that I bring a bit 'more' to the microphone...more than merely a voice-I am a voice actor.
I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild, having appeared in major motion pictures as well as television.
I know something about copy, having written some rather lofty copy for all kinds of clients-
Ad agencies, production houses, corporations, institutions, etc.
I have promoted (and written all the copy, press releases and brochures) for The NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade; produced and directed a video documentary for The Foundation for Economic Education; hosted many an industrial training video and written spots pitching lawn mowers, retirement communities-even cream cheese!
I have sung many a jingle and am currently the lead vocalist for two bands, Avalon Express and Good 2 Go. We have performed hundreds of gigs over the past few years, mostly in Connecticut, where I now reside. Our biggest client has been the Mohegan Sun Hotel and Convention Center, at which we have performed countless times for both private and public functions. We've seen many a black-tie affair; be it a fund-raiser, a corporate event or a wedding. Singing is the same as speaking-I just hold the notes longer!
Among my many clients are:
American Express, Advest, Aetna Insurance, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, AT&T, and lots of other A's. (let's get this over with) Pfizer, RCA, Microsoft, Adobe, ESPN, Stanley Tool, Spalding, Konica, Kelloggs, Curad, Hasbro, Friendly's, Fox Television, Foxwoods, United Technologies, Sikorsky Aircraft, Columbia House Audio Books and well, you get the picture.

I offer clean and clear audio tracks which can be sent you in any of the usual formats via cyberspace and snail mail. Of course I can burn a CD! I have an excellent and QUIET recording facility, featuring a Pro Tools/Mac workstation. Original music can be created for your project. Having the 'chops' and technical know-how are a 'given', but I'd like to think that one of my best selling points is my recognition and appreciation of the fact that I am in the business of serving my clients; of listening to them and understanding their needs.
My greatest skill is my ability to take my work seriously without taking myself too seriously.
Heck-it's not a skill, it's a committment!
As a producer/engineer, I tend to be rather demanding of myself: I like to send out files that are pristine. If you can simply 'drop it in', you will like me much more than bachelor #2.
Finally-I am a highly ethical feller! My word is my bond. I approach my work and my clients with professionalism and courtesy. I appreciate being accorded the same!

Over the past several years, I have secured a great deal of instuctional/tutorial work, including a good deal of e-learning work for Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco, Noven, Novartis, Takeda, AARP, The Hartford, etc. I had the privilege of voicing the provocative and somewhat controversial audiobook 'The Jesus Family Tomb' for Harper Audio.
I recently completed voicing Field and Stream Magazine's 'Icons' for The Outdoor Channel, as well as providing narration for a World War I documentary, 'Hill 789', produced in conjunction with National Geographic magazine.
