Description
‘Parked’ is a full-length feature about a squirrely, skinny and shy 30-year-old guy, MacKenzie Woodcock, who works in Northern Ontario at one of the biggest national parks in Canada.
Mac doesn’t talk much, and he doesn’t get to talk to many people either. His job is to canoe into the most remote campsites, clean them up and get them ready for the next group of portagers.
Mac’s quiet, simple and low-key life gets complicated during a night out at the only restaurant in the area, a rustic Polish tavern called the Kashub Korner. Mac meets a waitress, Selena Pecarski, who miraculously becomes the first girl to ever fall for Mac Woodcock.
And Mac’s head-over-heels too. The only issue? According to his dad, Tim, she could actually be long-lost cousin, but it’s unclear whether the historic link in question, a fur trapper named Bill Hernan, was actually a mutual relation, or just a mysterious force between their two families.
‘Parked’ is a story of a dude going on a wild goose chase to dig up old family history to discover whether or not he’s related to the only girl who’s ever loved him.
