Aziz Acar (born March 5, 1969 in İstanbul), dubbing director, casting director, voiceover actor.
Mr. Acar graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu Üniversitesi Economics and Social Sciences Faculty. Before becoming a dubbing director at TRT (the first TV channel to be established in Turkey ), he trained as an assistant for 7 years under the supervision of the most proficient dubbing directors among whom were Kahraman Acehan, Kemal Bilici, Dilaver Uyanık, Naile Atasagun, Özdemir Han and Arhan Erçin. During his TRT years he worked on numerous Turkish and foreign language movies, shows and documentaries. Among the most memorable TV shows he worked on were Alf and Bonanza, aired toward the end of 1980s. In 1996 Mr. Acar joined Doğuş Yayın Grubu where he still remains as the Director of Dubbing and Translations Department for 18 years. Fluent in English and Arabic, he does voiceovers also in Arabic since 1990. Aziz Acar gives lectures on dictation, articulation, entonation and dubbing. And he has been giving lectures on dubbing at Dialog Anlatım İletişim since 2008 and İstanbul Technical University since 2011. Apart from his casting coordinatorship and voiceover directorship duties at (and outside of) Doğuş Yayın Grubu, he does the voiceovers for the weekly sports shows La Liga since 2008 and La Liga World since 2012. He is the signature voice of NTV Spor Smart. Mr. Acar has been married to Ayşe Ağırman since 1994 and has two children named Şevval and Agah.
