In Colombia, 60 of cases are diagnosed early when at the first point of contact, the primary care physician doesn't consider cancer suspicion due to lack of knowledge or non oncological experience. There are situations in life we're waiting is okay, but there are others where no one should wait. As an oncologist is very common to receive patients when the council is already at an advanced stage with a poor prognosis. Although there is a suspicion of cancer, I need to order some of the tests to complete the diagnosis. We've wasted a lot of time. This process needs to be very expedited. An early diagnosis can help us save many lives by empowering our primary care physicians and every remission is possible. All of us together could win the battle against the cancer.
