In this video, we'll show you how to install a gradient on your own in 15 minutes. Start by setting the indoor bracket. It has a slot where the indoor unit will hang later. Turn the thumb screw clockwise to adjust the brackets width so it fits over your window seal, then install the outdoor bracket. First insert the two cotter pins that come with your install kit. Use the screwdriver to insert the four screws through both the indoor and outdoor brackets, twist the feet to ensure the bracket does not move the wings of the outdoor unit, ma just a line under the track on the outdoor bracket, slide the unit through the window and lower it into place, remove the cotter pins from the front of the bracket and attach those pins to the back sides of the installation bracket. Then install the indoor unit. The hook on the back of the indoor unit must line up with the slot on the indoor bracket, lower the indoor unit into place, connect the five hoses and cables between the units by pushing them into place until they click, install the insulating foam to seal your window. Start with the center foam piece, then seal each side of the unit by putting into place the two adjustable foam pieces, install the top cover in its collapse date, slide it into the pins and push it all the way out so that the rounded edge meets the outside of the outdoor unit. Then slide the interfacing side of the top, cover back until it meets the indoor one and snaps into place. Close your window, then plug your gradient into the wall and wait 30 minutes to power on the system. Comfort is now in your control.
