Every moment that has ever been or ever will be, is gone the instant it's begun. So life itself is loss, a constant process of letting go and moving on with only our memories to preserve what's gone. And memories, no matter how momentous shade shape shift and utterly fade, threatening us with the fear that we too, will someday be forever severed from the earth by deaths, sharp and binary blade reduced to a nameless number on a list mislaid.
