I use a Universal Audio Apollo twin interface and JBL 308's and Presonus Eris E5's monitors along with AudioTechnica 50x headphones to monitor my recordings. Adobe Audition is my recording DAW.

Special Equipment

I record in well treated large room. So no boxy reverb closet sound!
