no Mhm. Okay? Yeah. E think that's very noble. And I agree with you 100%. There's there is something in doing your own thing. Like when we were younger, I thought there was there was an element of fame to it. Or probably the idea of exploring. Sure. You want to explore the outside world? Like I would still kill to do something like Henry the fifth or Richard the third. Oh, yeah, We all got delicious. You know, we all got those roles that I think everyone who has ever an actor has, like, they're the three roles they love to play, you know, like they can rattle off 123 you know? Yeah, I'm sure we've all got those, but they're the ability to control the content so that it's uniquely you. But then the other side of what you said his ownership like that's mine. Yeah, you can put it on the shelf and leave it there. You can. You could license it. If you wanted to monetize it, you could share it. Uh, those were all wonderful opportunities as a creator. Yeah, you kind of touched on something that and it had occurred to me, obviously. But it seems like there's a ton of recycling going on at least like yeah, right. Theo Idea. Even original is blasphemy. Well, it's not cost effective. No, no. I mean, you gotta have, like, Netflix money to get original content. Other. It's how can we reboot this show that has no connection to the old show other than the name and said, Well, then just make the thing. Yeah, Yeah, it's weird. Yeah. I mean, and And And then then, you know, the movies air. All the movies were being redone. And But you see that less with with music, I think. Right. Like, I think that, uh, yeah, can you speak because you don't see a lot of covers in music proportionally? Well, yeah. I mean, I think that, like, there are millions of covers out there, right? But I think very rarely is there a cover that brings a either bring something new to the original song or, uh uh, well, I access. Most important, I rarely think I hear a cover that bring something new to the original song. More often than not, someone doesn't cover. And it's just like it sounds exactly like the original song just happens to be this other person singing it, you know? And Yeah, and it's like, Why would you wanna like if something is good enough to warrant? Like, I think it was like a flaming lips. They completely redid dark side of the moon. It's awful. It's e I like the flaming lips. I love the flaming looks. Really, Really Do I really do Don't get me wrong. They're they're awesome. But why the Why the **** would you be like? Oh, yeah, dark side of the moon. Everyone knows it. Everyone got high to it when they were 20. Like, Yeah, generations of people have been listening to that album and getting stoned and loving it for what it is. You know what? We can probably do it better. Nah, no, you can't like you just can't. It's no, uh, I really liked what Lana del Rey did with sublime. Yes. Yeah. Okay, So it was one thing like she was kind of e don't really do her. Yeah, I did. I got into her with Norman ******* Rockwell album. As soon as I heard that album, I was blown the **** away by her and that. And then I just, like, instantly got all the, you know, added all the other albums and yeah, but yeah, Yeah, that covers. Great. Um, there's a few out there that I think are phenomenal. Like Sturgill Simpson did a cover of in Nirvana's In Bloom on It's awesome. It is so good. And it and it because it's totally out of left field. It's totally different. You know, he also covered, um, the promise by that eighties band. God, I'm gonna get skewered if I don't remember. Yeah, yeah, he covered that one on one of his albums and it also great. You know, um, I think Phoebe Bridgers, uh, made this dare. She tweeted this thing one day when she was like, If Biden wins the election, I will cover Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls on S o. Biden wins the Biden wins the election. And then she and that that woman, Maggie Rogers, the two of them put out this beautiful cover off a song that is a pretty cheesy song. Uh, you know, and like, I'm not a Goo Goo Dolls fan. And I've never been a Goo Goo Dolls fan. You know that that song was huge in high school because for some reason, everyone loved Nick Cage and Meg Ryan and that movie about angels. Like what? Like a that song sends based on that movie. Yeah, well, how did that movie get made? I mean, come on. It's ridiculous. Anyway, So they did this beautiful cover, that song. And it's kind of like, Oh, wow, that that's kind of cool. But generally speaking like mhm. I don't know. It takes a near it takes an ear to hear something and kind of do that What you were saying before about interpreting in a separate way, like I I think everybody kind of understands Trent Reznor's version of hurt. And then you hear Johnny Cages version You go. That's not the same song. Oh, Johnny Cash. Yeah. Johnny Cage. Johnny Cage. Mortal Kombat character. That was Johnny Cash. The The Johnny Cash. The man in black. Yeah, yeah. I mean, that that I mean, he also he also covers personal Jesus, Um, he Yeah, like his whole American recordings that he did with recruitment. There's a number of covers their spread throughout their But you're right. Like those what they do is they do something different with the song which I'm like. I'm all about that just even if it sucks, just do something different with it, you know, reinterpret the words to mean something else. Yeah, there's a really great cover of, um now, like Radiohead is my my my ultimate all time favorite there, my ultimate all time favorite band. Um, anyone that tries to cover radio Song is stupid, like, Don't do it. Just don't do it. No, it's not cool. It's not cool. That being said, that being said, uh, Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, who are fantastic artists, have seen them live there there, an artist I've seen live twice and like I would see them 345 10 more times there in in their incredible incredible musicians and singers, they cover black star from the bends and it is fantastic. It is fantastic. Eso I'll make an exception on the radio head covers for them there. They're a tough band to cover. I mean, they have such a unique sound to some of its up tempo. Some of its slow tempo. Yeah, yeah, I'm drinking my non alcoholic beer. There's a brewery called athletic brewing company that makes fantastic, fantastic craft beer that does not have alcohol in it because e Well, no. Well, I mean, for someone who was really disappointed in the fact that I couldn't drink beer anymore when I had to go sober, Um, this this this brewing company is a godsend. And I you know, I live in Colorado like it's it's like Mecca for craft for craft beer. Oh, I wasn't dry when I lived in Colorado. No, no, I was very much drinking. Oh, yes. I've only been sober for about five months. Um, but, uh, this athletic bring company, it's it tastes like good beer. I'm not gonna lie to you like it really does. Like, and I've got, you know, e got friends of mine who work on a beer. A beer account. Um, you know, at work that all agree with me that, like this, this this **** is, like, legit. So that makes the case. Yes. This place is dead anyway, Man,
