Description

This is a podcast of The Episcopal Church USA that I cohost. This demo is a short sample of how my voice sounds during our podcast episodes while reading from a script (note: the quality is lower than future recordings will be, as I have invested in a proper microphone and recording software).

Yeah. Hey, everyone, welcome back to end also with y'all. I'm Eliza, one of the three a a Wi co hosts. And I am so excited to present to you the first episode of our brand new third season finding foundations. When we started planning for this season, we decided that it was high time that we came up with some kind of collective greed. So what do you mean by that? Well, Creed is, of course, a sort of statement of belief, like the Nicene Creator, the apostles creed that we may recite together in church. But the and also with y'all cream. We knew that it needed to be something different. It needed to be something specific to young adults and faith. That is what is young adulthood all about from a faith perspective. So Caleb and James and I started talking about this. We bounced around ideas and we eventually came up with this. We believe that young adulthood in the modern era can be generally characterized as a time when individuals are building a life and identity of their own. And it's because of this belief statement that we decided Season three should be based on just that on building a life building, an identity building foundations. We wanted to explore how young adults go about building foundations, how they add to them as time goes on and how they cope with them when they crumble and how they rebuild them when they do crumbs. At the beginning of each episode of this season, you'll hear us recite an anti fine. When you find yourself in the front half of life, you find yourself blank. Now that blank could be filled with any sort of experience or moment that people tend to face as young adults or as we've turned it in the front half of life. You'll hear guests tell stories about when they knew they were called to a particular vocation. How they established a life of faith as an independent adult when they fell in love, really in love for the first time, or when a relationship with a family member or a friend, or even just themselves, was strengthened or tested or fundamentally changed. As one of my favorite film directors and actresses, Greta Gerwig once said, The more particular you make something the more universal it becomes and our biggest hope is that these are stories that you'll recognise yourself in, regardless of whether the conditions of the guests experience perfectly. Match your own. So without further ado, let's get into it. Mhm. Yeah. Mhm, yeah.
