Reginald Richardson

Reginald Richardson is a Botswana based multi-award winning broadcast journalist with more than 20 years experience. A recipient of the 2017 BONELA Human Rights Award, Richardson has worked for Botswana Television, GabzFm, eTV and KayaFm (South Africa). He has held various positions on tv and radio including news anchor, journalist, news writer, script editor, current affairs program director, producer and presenter. .
Richardson has won numerous awards including Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA-Botswana) News Reader of the year Award (2002, 2006 and 2007). In 2007 he became a finalist of the CNN Africa Journalist Competition. He was awarded MISA Botswana’s Best Current Affairs Show (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014) for his work on GabzFm's Breakfast with Reg morning show. Richardson initiated, organised and moderated the Gabzfm Elections 2014 parliamentary and presidential debates, the first such comprehensive election debates in Botswana.
