Hassan Gilani

I am a 28 year old living in Oulu, Finland. Being the son of a Foreign Service diplomat, I have had the opportunity to live and study in eight countries over three continents. I am an avid reader of history and politics with a keen interest in the art of oratory.

In high school I saw a video of Robert Kennedy being eulogized by his brother Edward Kennedy in 1968. It was powerful and I was greatly touched by it. I was impressed by his language and the use of quotes. It made me think of the power of oratory to inspire and make people dream. Every time I have to give a speech, a presentation or even a lecture, I try to give a charismatic and moving performance because of the effect that it can have.
