Chapter one. Lost Among the stars. A cosmic adventure. Hello, dear one. This is your quiet time. In this short meditation. We will use the power of a smile to make us feel a little better. The best thing about a smile is that it helps us feel happier in this moment, right where we are to begin. I would like you to find a quiet place and make yourself really comfortable. If you feel like lying down, you could do so or you could sit with your legs crossed or on a chair. Now, gently close your eyes and notice how your body feels. We'll spend a few moments here, just begin with the body and now we'll notice our breath, watching it with curiosity. How does it come in? Where does it go? How does it go out? We'll spend a few moments here. Just begin with the breath. And now let's take a deep breath in through the nose all the way into your belly, open your mouth to let a big breath out. This feels good. Let's do this two more times. Take a breath in through the nose, sending it all the way into your belly and letting it all out through the mouth one last time. Big breath in through the nose, sending it to the belly and letting it all out through the mouth. Well done. We now go on a fun adventure with your eyes closed. Think of yourself flying in space. It is so big and wonderful. You just landed on a new planet. It is a purple planet. As you walk around, you feel safe and happy and a little bit surprised the grass is all blue and shaped like circles running on. It is like skateboarding. You look around you and you notice that the flowers are shaped like triangles. All of them are golden and silver and the trees are not as they look on earth. They are white and they are very, very big. Reaching up to the sky when it is night time, the trees turn into huge mushrooms glowing in colors of bright neon green and pink. There are some birds sitting on the branches and they are different too. They look like fish when they want to sleep. They catch some clouds that are light green and make their beds on the clouds. The butterflies look like polka dots in all colors of the rainbow. They have skipping ropes and that's how they go from one flower to the other. You hear the sound of water as it flows over rocks, you start to walk toward it soon, find a long yellow river there are submarines that can take you across. You sit in one and it goes right into the water. Underneath. All the fish that are swimming are purple. They are eating berries that grow inside the river as you pass by, they raise their fins and say hello. You wave back and smile. And now as you are swimming in this river, I would like you think of a happy memory of a time when you experienced happiness or you received help from someone, perhaps someone was kind to you or gave you a big hug, something that brings up joy in your heart. And as you think of that memory, let a smile come to your face. It could be just a small smile. And if it feels difficult to bring to mind a memory that's ok too. You can instead think of when you love and bring to mind their face, when they smile, the sound of their laughter, watching them through your mind's eye, happy and joyful and let that picture of them bring a smile to your face. Let us take a deep breath here. And as you breathe, think about this happiness going inside you and going into all the parts of your body, let yourself feel the smile. And as you let out your breath, feel the smile on your face and in your heart one more time allowing a smile to come on your face. Let us take a deep breath here. And as you breathe. Think about this happiness going inside you and going into all the parts of your body, let yourself feel the smile and as you let the breath out, feel the smile on your face and in your heart. And one last time allowing a smile to come on your face, let us take a deep breath here. And as you breathe, think about this happiness going inside you and expanding to all the parts of your body. Let yourself feel the smile and as you let the breath out, feel the smile on your face and in your heart, you are swimming in the river, happy and joyful. And as you reach the other end of the river, you are greeted by a family of orange rabbits. They say they have turned orange because they would eat a lot of carrots. They lived on earth. They take you to their little house which looks like a cake. You spend some time with them, drink lemonade, eat some gingerbread, say thank you to the rabbits for being so friendly and warm. You have a really good time in their little house and then set off to see the rest of the place. Take as much time as you need to explore this planet. When you feel ready, feel yourself coming back to where you are sitting or lying down. Take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. Once again, you can think about how you are feeling in your body. Do you feel relaxed and calm? Just notice how your body feels whenever you need a little, pick me up, you can come back to this meditation and you can practice it any time of the day because when we smile, everything starts feeling a little bit better as we come to the end of our practice today, I would like you to gently wiggle your fingers and toes, lightly stress, touch your body. Give yourself a big hug and when you feel ready, open your eyes. Thank you for practicing with me today. Have a sweet dream, dear one.
