The pigeon stretch. Starting on the right side, you will begin in a half kneeling position, pull the front leg out and across your body. Keeping the knee at 90 degrees, sink your hips and stretch your back leg as far behind you as possible. Feel the stretch through the side of the right hip and upper glute as you breathe and hold this position, attempt to bring the front knee down to the ground and lean the trunk forward. Hold this right side stretch sinking deeper over the course of 90 seconds before switching. Now we will switch to the left leg, keep the front knee at 90 degrees, but be careful of outside knee pain over the course of the 90 seconds. Try to sink your hips further behind you and feel the stretch in the outer hip.
