This is Dave. Dave is a building site manager and he's responsible for safety. He must ensure that all personnel are aware of the importance of safety on the construction site. His job is to explain clearly and carefully the importance of rules and regulations to all workers. He starts with essential advice about dangers of fires on site. Dave makes sure that everyone is aware of fire assembly points, location of the alarm or alarms, placement of extinguishers, exit routes and fire prevention procedures. He must also stress the importance of good housekeeping to prevent slips, trips and falls, and remove material that could fuel fires. A high number of accidents occur on construction sites due to workers tripping over rubbish and waste. Failure to ensure its Heidi workplace could cause a site to be closed down. As Dave will tell you, construction site safety is not just about wearing a hard hat
