Love Radio three D 44 radio Whether power changes happening, remember, not 44 talk video? No. Now, Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to D 44. Talk radio. My name is John David. Time you're holds for today. This is definitely where the changes happening here. D 44 talk radio. And so we want to just welcome everybody here today. We have a great subject. They are subject use. Toastmasters can make a difference in your success. And here to share some information with this is a fantastic toastmaster. His name is Freddy Allen. This I like to bring him on. Freddie, how you doing today? I don. How are you? Great, great. Well, listen. Thank you for many. Some your evening with the 44 tall radio. We do appreciate you. Absolutely. I'm glad to be here. Sure, Sure, I can. You tell us how long you been a toastmaster and maybe what clubs or clubs that you're a part of. I've been a toastmaster since the spring of 2013 and I am a member of speaking with power as well as epic advanced Toastmasters. Oh, sounds good. Great. Does have something for today. Now, if Toastmasters can make a difference in your success, would you be so kind just to share with everybody what that means to you? I think Toastmasters afford a very unique opportunity when it especially when it comes to success, Toastmasters has the unique ability of promoting and pushing us to be more confident people. Toastmasters will allow you to practice all the things that you could possibly want to do from a professional and personal level. And it gives you that consistency to reach deep down inside and provide a level of comfort and just confidence to help you do whatever you feel like you need to do in way of meeting your goals. Great. Great. Now what made you decide to join Joe Smith? You know, like everybody has that green light, I guess when you want to do something. So what was it that made click Major? Hey, man, I need to be a part of this. I realized that Toastmasters will give me a unique experience to be able to draw from my own experiences, to talk to other people. It's one thing when you're in a corporate environment and you have a technical subject that you're talking to your peers about. But when you have to go outside of your comfort zone and talk about your personal experiences, how you feel and what you believe about certain topics inside of the parameters of Toastmasters, it pushes you to a level where you realize that you have to be a better communicator in communicating from a postmaster. Stem point is different from what I was used to doing in a professional level. OK, OK back tonight. So what we're used to doing in a professional capacity in a competitive capacity. What I did was facilitate seminars in the banking industry where I taught classes on specifically lending investment and just facilitating customer service and just anything dealing with the financial arena. When you step into a toastmaster environment and you have general target that you're not so comfortable with like the first and only is called icebreakers when you have Teoh, unveil who you are to a group of people that don't know you that will invoke a different type of feeling and a different mental process for you to be able to express and become vulnerable in a manner where you can present that to a group of people that don't know your background, know your family history. But you have to be able to express that to them within a certain time that that is true. That unique experience. Yeah, that that is really true. I love icebreaking myself, a car, especially when you have new members. That is a relatively quick way to you. Get to know that particular person And I found a lot of cases, you know, listen to various icebreakers. Over the years, I've met people from the same hometown that she might not have known and in some cases in college. And so this kind of sort of gives you a bomb with that person as you are listening to that particular icebreaker that that is really, really true. Now I understand here that you also wrote a book. So can you just give us out? What made you decide to write the book and tell us something about Interestingly, I've been a writer all my life, but through the experience of Toastmasters, I have decided to step out of the box again. And like a the book is called just three words that was actually inspired by me competing, um, during a international speech contest with Toastmasters. The title of my speech was definitely words and after result. Okay, I thought it that it would behoove me to push, to inspire and to help people be the best they can be by putting together a book that is comprised of simple three word phrases that could help you through your daily life. Like love people anyway. No, you're loved. Pay never laughed. Simple three word phrases that can help you do simple things to just push through. And you may think that well, three works. Three words or no big deal. But if you can recall the last presidency President Barack or Baraka, Obama won the presidency with Yes, we can. Those three words meant living two different people. Whatever they teach you as individual. You identified with his whole idea of America with Duke with Yes, we can in the book, you actually correct. That was That was powerful. You're going. You were right. So I decided it would be helpful people to just reach down in their desperate there, there, wherever they decide to to keep the book and just flip through it, the book can be found on my website. If it's ricochet book dot com f h don't look dot com Is that dot com? That's okay. Okay. Okay. That's size. Ring a bell with me. I'm trying to say cause you know, I love me some Didn't Stevie Wonder have a song come out? I think it says something about my three wars or something of that order. I'm trying to remember correctly. Be everywhere. They Yeah, that right, brother. But that's powerful that you shared that very much. So you got that idea from doing a speech contest? Which that was the title of your speech. Correct. Okay. Okay. Sounds good. Okay, Now, what else can you share with us? Uh, you know, about my three wars? Anything else that that hasn't it May have had pure red three words that you kind of clean to use that term. Are you using your frequently? The most companies use very short phrases that will catapult them into making millions of dollars. Okay. The premise for my speech was the iconic Nike, and their slogan is a junkie with Just do it. Everybody knows that you're right. Because of that, it pushes them described Teoh great achievements of just basic words, and that's the whole premise of the book. Okay, so would you suggest that individuals have their own three words? You know, the main. Maybe, as your motto is just part of the plan of your life. With that, anything you would suggest absolutely as a thing is for just talk a success. In order to achieve success, you must believe and yourself those three words. Believe in yourself. Toastmasters, as we started the conversation from me, has helped me to be more confident. It has helped me be a better listener, and as a result of being more confident and what I think, what I believe, what I want and being able to listen thoroughly toe others. It has helped me become a better person because of you truly here, the heart of the person that you're talking to, whether you're in a personal environment or a business environment, it helps you was bond in a more pointed, helpful manner that is not harmful. That is clear, and it will help you build a quality relationship. Yeah, that that Israel Richard, because I know Toastmasters has really helped me become a better listener. And now I would like to think I'm kind of sort of like an expert listener. When we have a conversation. You mentioned something to me. I'm going to really listen and tune in to everything you say. And if I have some questions or something, I can easily just ask you a question, because I think I've done a wrote a really good job and just listening to you. So that's that. That's that's a great point. That's one thing I really like about toast message that he helped me be a better person because, you know, we all like to talk. But sometime is better to listen than talk, and a lot of visitors will know that, but yeah, but yeah, but toast message has really helped me learn that lesson a lot of time. I need to listen more and just talk less So I think I'm glad that you shared that point. Any closing remarks? Anything else you'd like to share with us in terms of the title of the bull court and anything else you like to share and closing well in closing if to be a better listener, it helps you be a better person because it causes you to reached down and you and respond in a better way. The reason I wrote just three words. It's for you to take a moment and relax, relate and release to everything else and everything around you. And I think if you do that as a person and stick to simple things, you can leave people better than you found it. Sounds good. Postmaster City Allen, This we really, really appreciate you spending some time with us today. And thanks for the information again. Please repeat that one more time where we could get your book s H a book dot com. All right. Sounds good.
