As a Gen Z/millennial cusp, I'm your girl! Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, I can do several regionalisms in the Midwest, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Dakotas, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. I now reside in Atlanta and have picked up several southern dialects as well.
I'm not just passionate about acting and voiceover, I'm genuinely passionate about politics. I've volunteered with several progressive campaigns and strive to educate others on the needs of the working class. I'm a nonprofit worker and nanny that is deeply empathetic and I want to bring that empathy to your political ads. One voice can change the world, even at the local election level. How do I hire Lauren?

What is your studio set-up?

I have a broadcast-quality home studio that has been used to record everything from corporate narration spots to national commercials. My microphone is a Rode NT1-A that I use with a Scarlett interface.

What kind of live directed sessions do you offer?

I offer live directed sessions via Zoom (or any other video conferencing platform) or Source-Connect. For Zoom, I would record on my end and send over the audio files after the session. Source-Connect ID is: laurenmcdowell

What happens if I'm not satisfied with your work?

I have never had a client be unsatisfied with my work. However, I take customer satisfaction very seriously. If you are not satisfied with the finished audio files, I will gladly offer another live session or new audio file free of charge.

Hi, I'm Lauren!

I'm an actor with over a decade of experience in theatre, film, and commercials. I discovered voiceover shortly after receiving my BFA in Acting from Missouri State University. With my significant improv training, I can bring every script to life.

Voiceover peers have described my voice as upbeat and fun, while also being warm, grounded, and approachable. As a part of Gen Z, I can bring a youthful, wry, sarcastic side to any project that calls for it.

Working with kids is my jam, and not to brag, but I'm really good at playing pretend. Outside of acting, I'm a nanny, camp counselor, and teaching artist. My greatest passion in life is working with youth who stutter and advocating for their voices to be heard.
