Lauren Vanderwater

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Vanderwater. My nickname is Vandy, I am twenty-one years old, and reside in Boston, MA. I have been an onstage performer since I was four years old. I have a strong passion for theater, and finding new ways to source my creativity. My love of theater lead me on path to taking some college courses in radio, dance, and theatrical movement. During my studies at Massasoit Community College, I found a love for producing radio shows and podcasts. I am proud to have been apart of the recordings of many productions, including "A Christmas Carol" as Martha Crachet (young/adult) and "Zero Hour: Invasion" as Mink and Mink's Mom. I was the producer of my own music show, entitled “The Vandy Vibe”, on Radio Massasoit. My old professor from the college also gave me the chance to be on-air at 95.9 WATD, as one of the hosts of the "Massasoit Today" segment. I was also able to find one of my now favorite forms of media, old radio plays. In these shows from the 40s and 50s, I was able to play characters that ranged from 4 years old to as old as 90. As an actor, I have always loved character voices, and playing with the wide range that my voice can go! I am finish carpenter in my daily life, so I’m always in a creative environment that pushes my way of thinking. I am thrilled to be looking for a chance to further my voice over career and my knowledge in the field!
