Every piece of music needs a beat, but not everybody has a drunk from machines first debuted in the sixties, but these early models were still far too expensive for the average person, so early DJs had to improvise. Instead of buying pricey equipment, they created backing rhythms with the only instrument they had their mouths. Thus, beatboxing was born.
