If you ask a woman, if she's uncomfortable, she'll probably say no because feeling uncomfortable is what we are used to. We are 50% of the global population, but the world isn't made for us. We've had to feel out our place to fight to advance it. We've had to feel less than to find more to believe in. We've had to feel defeat to carry each other to victory. We have felt it all to feel different. Progress isn't comfortable but neither are we when shame still goes hand in hand with being a girl, not comfortable when you constantly judge on your appearance, instead of your intelligence, not comfortable being dismissed as being on your period. Not comfortable wondering if you can express emotions like vulnerability or anger at all, being seen as not capable enough or not behaving enough when your most personal decisions are no longer your own, having your potential stolen, simply because of who you are naturally, not comfortable at all.
