Michael Alcobendas

I’m a father of two, a professional chef, and the Culinary Director of a ramen restaurant with two locations. Storytelling, sensory experience, and connection are at the heart of what I do everyday. My background in performance started early: I’ve studied martial arts since the age of four, competed at the state level as a baritone in high school, and continued performing as a soloist and choir member in college.

I love bringing characters to life and often read aloud using distinct voices, which led to performing puppet shows for Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon. I have a natural ability to tap into emotion when speaking, which has made me a compelling public speaker and performer. I’ve also cooked live on KOIN 6 News in Portland three times, giving me experience delivering engaging, clear, and confident on-camera communication.

I’m excited to bring this mix of performance, storytelling, and emotional nuance into voiceover work—whether it’s for narration, character voices, commercial reads, or educational content.
