Everyone has a story about how they came to be. Here's a story about bunny bear. Guess what? That's me. There's a special place. It's called harmony Forest. The lakes are blue and the grass is green in harmony forest. Everyone plays with their own kind. The rabbits play with the rabbits. The squirrels play with the squirrels and the mice play with the mice. The deer play with the deer, the bears play with the bears. Life is peaceful. Then something happened that would change everything. My mom met my dad, my dad's name is Bailey and he is a bear. He likes climbing trees and eating honey. He is big brown and very strong. My mom's name is Rachel and she is a rabbit. She enjoys picking flowers. She likes to jump, jump, jump all around the forest. They played together and became best friends. This made the other animals angry. They thought that animals should play with their own kind. Who ever heard of a bear? And rabbit being friends growl. The animals, birds play with birds and rabbits play with rabbits. Bailey and Rachel knew they were different but they were friends. They knew there was only one thing to do. They would have to leave harmony, Forest Paw and Paw. They left to find a new home on their way. They met Oliver, they told Oliver their sad story. Oliver was very old and very wise. A friend is someone who likes you for who you are not. What you are said. Oliver Bailey and Rachel were so glad to meet someone who understood what they felt. They had found someone who gave a hoot about them one spring day, they decided to get married under a beautiful arch of flowers and they became best friends. Forever time passed on and they were very happy one day. Something very special happened. Bailey and Rachel had a baby. They were so proud and so was Oliver. The new baby had the best parts of his mom and dad. He was strong like his dad and he could jump like his mom. He was special. Guess what that baby was me. My name is Bunny Bear. Glad to meet you. Let me tell you about myself. I love to go fishing with my dad. The water feels so good and the fish taste yummy, yummy, yummy. Do you like to go fishing? Do you like to eat fish? I love to pick carrots with my mom. My favorite snack is carrots dipped in honey. What is your favorite snack? I like being with my mom and dad. We have so much fun together. They said they were best friends. I asked what a best friend was and why I didn't have any. Mom and dad told me about harmony Forest. They said the other animals didn't like them playing together because they were different. Sadness, sadness, sadness was all I could say. I decided to sneak over to Harmony Forest. I wanted to see for myself about what mom and dad had told me. I hid behind a rock and watched. It was true. All of the animals were only playing with their own kind. I thought it was sad. They could have even more fun if they were playing with each other. If they could just meet me, I knew that they'd want to be my friend. I started to get sleepy. So I decided to head home where dad and I got ready for our winter nap. Mom and dad took me in and soon I was fast asleep. When I woke up the next spring I heard mom and Oliver talking. He said how many forest is flooded? Ida Row? There are animals trapped in the trees up there. Who I knew I could help. I was strong like my dad and I could jump. Like my mom, I told Oliver I could get them out of those trees. This was my big chance to show all of the animals of Harmony Forest who I am and what good I could do. Oliver took me to the flooded area. I could see the animals were stuck high in the trees. Water was so deep. They looked really scared. Oliver said, oh, this is worse than I thought what to do. I need to fly closer to get a better view. Oliver owl flew by the animals to see if I could reach them. Then he said, I know you can help them. I'm counting on you. I will do my best was all I could say. Then all of a sudden, a great feeling set in. Then right after that, my knees started to bend. I closed my eyes and I said a little prayer. I puffed up my chest. Then I sprang through the air. The next thing I knew I was on a branch close to all the animals. I could tell that they were afraid. They had never seen anyone like me. I said, don't be afraid. It's me bunny bear. I have a way to get you out of here. Let me help you. The animals, let me carry them one by one. I jumped off a branch to a safe place below. I helped every animal out of every tree when everyone was safe. I patted them on their heads. You're ok. Now I said I am a friend. I tried and I did it. I saved everyone, not just a bear, not just a rabbit, but everyone, their families watched me, save their kids. I was not sure what they would do. They had never seen anyone like me. But they all smiled and said, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My new friends and I all danced around that day. Oliver, the elves said, we all learned an important lesson that day to judge on how one looks is not very smart. It's how someone feels about you deep in their heart. Oh, my family moved back to harmony forest that day. I'm happy to be around so many different kinds of friends. I hope you have so many different friends in your neighborhood. See you again real soon. Your friend bunny bear.
