Don Daglow

I started out as a kid whose teachers said "he has a thousand voices." The reality that this estimate was off by at least several hundred sunk in when I entered college. I trained in theatre but majored in playwriting, writing for the college troupe that included Robin Williams... the year after he quit school. Great teachers -- I was very lucky -- taught me both spoken word and broadcast radio skills, and how to use my full instrument from nose to palate to chest. I've voiced video games off and on over the years, playing everything from a private school headmaster to a would-be supervillain to a vengeful un-dead king. I'm most experienced at cartoon style VO, broadcast announcer, narrator and drama, but have done some traditional comedy. I've also directed many voice sessions, so I know what you need in studio... and what wastes time. My voice range is baritone to bass, but I can also do much higher and more nasal cartoon voices. I can do a range of regional and international dialects. Oh, and I've won an Emmy Award... but it was for engineering on a project where I was actually writing and producing, not for performance.
