Melissa Pingue

I have worked in the professional sound industry with my husband for the past 18 years and I have learned what quality sounds like. Although this is my first time exploring the world of voice over, I have often been told I would be good at it during sound checks, recording answering service messages and answering the phone. There are times when I have answered the phone and people thought they had reached a machine. I have also been told I sound much younger on the phone. Even as a young child I enjoyed trying different accents and voice styles. I also find myself picking up accents from people from different countries and regions as I am in conversation with them. I'm not sure why this happens but I have always found different dialects and accents fascinating. Practicing them makes reading to my children and grandchildren so much more interesting. I am an artist at heart so the more creative I can be the better.
