Ruby Barker

I’m Ruby Barker, an award-winning British actor and voice artist with a career spanning theatre, television, film, radio, and global commercial campaigns. I’m best known for playing Marina Thompson in Netflix’s Bridgerton, as well as Metadata in Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight for Netflix. My work blends emotional depth with clarity, warmth, and authority; whether in narrative, character, or commercial voiceover.

Alongside screen work, I’ve voiced major campaigns for Müllerlight, Badoo Dating, and Sky Sports, and played Princess Buttercup in The Princess Bride for BBC Radio 4’s Christmas Special. My career began in theatre and children’s television, working across CBBC, BBC, and Sky Atlantic, before my international breakthrough on Bridgerton. This grounding gives me strong technical control, adaptability, and instinctive storytelling.

I’m the winner of the British Urban Film Festival Best Actress Award for How To Stop a Recurring Dream (dir. Ed Morris), and was SAG Award–nominated as part of the Bridgerton ensemble. I bring professionalism, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative approach to every project, whether voicing animation, drama, narration, or brand-led storytelling.
