hello and welcome. To which his kitchen. I am your host, Sarah Montgomery Campbell, and I am thrilled to invite you into this space. So why are we here? This is an international meeting place where women have conversations that need to be heard. And what are we throwing into the part? Well, you tell me, people, what do you want to talk about? I think we need to talk about connection, connection with each other, connection with ourselves. I think we need to talk about taking back the power, reclaiming our bodies, reclaiming our space in this world. I think we need to talk about motherhood if we choose it. If we don't choose it, if we want it but can't have it if we have it but don't want it. I think we need to talk about freedom. I think we need to raise our voices. We need to talk about loving ourselves, loving each other as sisters. We need to talk about partnership, about finding balance. We need to talk about raising Children that don't fit into the social norms. We need to talk about all those Children that come into this universe and how to create healthy, balanced human beings. We need to talk about race. We need to talk about being a black, white, Asian, light brown, dark brown, indigenous woman. In this world, we need to talk about violence, obstetric violence, sexist violence, racist violence, domestic violence, violence online and offline in the workplace. In our social spaces, we need to talk about using humour as a mask for violence. We need to talk about nature, eco feminism. What is our role on this planet? How can we recreate the balance between nature and ourselves? We need to talk about our sexuality. We need to talk about our valve. Ear's. Our vaginas are wombs. Are breasts our health? We need to talk about so many things. The list goes on and on. Yeah, I invite you into this kitchen to cook up a storm, don't you think? Yeah. So today is the first time that I am sitting down in front of the microphone to launch this dream. This podcast is a dream for me. It's something that's been brewing in my mind for a while. I'm not an expert. I'm not an expert on anything. I am a voice artist. The theatre actress a singer, a mother, a doula sister and everything else in between. I'm somebody who is trying to be a better version of myself, and I realise that we can't do it by ourselves. We need help. We need help and we should be helping each other. We should be creating a network, a safe place where we can grow together. So the idea of this space is that we have conversations. I'm not an expert. I'm not going to teach you anything. I just invite you to share and learn with me, because that's what I want to do. I want to be learning every day. So I realised, or I Yeah, I realised. I have realised that I'm surrounded by incredible women in my life who are facing or have faced certain challenges that have nourished them and prompted their own self growth on their individual journeys. And they each have a story to tell that I think should be heard. So I have invited different women into the space with me to cook up a brew, Let's say, and alexia each day that will become the episodes of this podcast that you can drink and let's sink into your body Let nourish and inspire you. Maybe he'll you on a certain level or call you to move on another level. Oh, or whatever it may be, it's all about nourishment. I hope that we can accompany each other on this journey. Share the space, share the growth. Right now, this is the beginning. There is so much that I want to embark on and I can't do it alone. But literally right now, in this moment I am alone. And you know, you've got to start somewhere. Sometimes we've got to be brave and take that first step without anybody holding your hand. So I also want this to be an interactive space. I'm open to participation. I want to hear from listeners, whoever they may be. May they be women men, non binary, old young, whoever You. Maybe if you're listening, if your heart is open, then I am open to receiving you. I want to hear your ideas, your feedback, your requests, whatever it is that can help this space to serve the purpose. And the purpose is to serve you all. This is also going to be a creative space. I want music. I want poetry. I want dreams. I want to hear from you. I want your contributions and your suggestions. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was warned that 2020 was going to be a year of change, that something big was going to happen. I was warned. You know, there are those amongst us who are very tuned in to what we can't see to their intuition. They say it's a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. So there are those people who are tuned in their tuned into invisible magic or or the Matrix if you want. And yeah, we're living it. This big thing, this big change of the year. 2020. We are living it. It wasn't just hippie waffle. It really is happening. The shift, The shift is happening. So it does feel important for me to make things clear. Now, here in this space, we are going to be talking about spirituality. Um, and if that's not your thing, don't worry. This is still a place for you. I believe there's a difference between egotistical spiritual obsession and real personal growth. So anyway, 2020 whether you like it or not, has been life well continues to be a life changing year, and I am in Spain. Here I am in Spain, in Madrid, ground zero of the coronavirus pandemic in this country. And now in this month of where are we? Well, this autumn, let's say we're going back into lockdown mode. I think this time is one of the greatest challenges that our society has ever faced. And it is serving. It's serving us as a mirror to look at ourselves, to look at where we are. Who did you become in the first lockdown in that first stage of isolation? Who are you now? Did you become a prisoner in your own home? Have you been a prisoner surrounded by people that are not good for you? Did you become a prisoner to your Children like I did? Have we become prisoners inside our own heads? Or or actually, have we found freedom in this time of isolation? In this pause in the stillness have we connected with something? Are you full of fear or are you full of gratitude? Are you full of optimism? I feel that now more than ever is a time for us to reach out and to take advantage of the digital virtual connections that we have. We can use them for good to really nourish ourselves, strip away the toxicity of social networks and philtre out the rubbish. We're all in a certain phase of reinvention. Who do we want to be? Who do we want to become? Yeah. So I'm taking this opportunity to launch this space. Yeah, to use my voice as I have. I've never done so up until now because of fear. Fear of not being good enough. Well, you know what? I'm letting go of that story. I am good enough. I am good enough to host the space for you. I am good enough to share my dreams. I am good enough to reach out and offer you this gift. It's up to you whether or not you want to take it. Yes. Mhm.
