The compact pickup truck market is already on its toes with some of the most amazing pickups hitting the streets. But it didn't discourage one brand to compete with the biggest name on the market. Ram has seriously made up its mind to compete with Ford in an attempt to take its place at the top of the market. Join us in this video and see how the $29,000 ra M small truck will eat Maverick for breakfast. Capable engine options. Ram made a decision to enter the small pickup truck market by fitting the new rampage with two small power train options. Both gasoline and diesel powered engines will be available and both will be in a 2 L displacement for those looking for the most economical version of the new Ra M rampage. The 2.0 L turbo diesel multi jet power train will be able to offer up to 170 horsepower with £280 feet of torque. That's not a lot of power even for a small pickup truck, but it's enough to make the rampage a great choice for economical driving without the need for any serious performance capabilities. This is also the standard power train option for lower level trim packages. The second and definitely more popular option when it comes to power trains will be the 2 L turbocharged hurricane. The gasoline powered power train will be able to produce up to 270 horsepower and £295 feet of torque. This allows the new rampage to be more flexible when it comes to use as it has enough power and performance capabilities to achieve higher speed tow the same weight as a turbo diesel version and also tackle off-road terrain. It comes standard with higher trim options. The interesting fact about the new RA M ramp page is that it won't be available with a hybrid power train. A lot of compact pickup truck manufacturers have decided to include hybrid power trains due to their amazing fuel efficiency. But Ra M decided to go with two proven engine options. Also both engines and the new Ra M rampage will be filled with a nine speed automatic transmission. Great exterior design. The new Ra M rampage unfortunately won't feature a completely unique design. The new compact pickup will hugely resemble the Ram 1500 it will basically be a smaller version of it. One big difference between the 1500 the new rampage will be the fact that the rampage will include a unibody configuration. A distinctive grill with the Ram letters will be included on the rampage and one unique feature will be found on the rampage tail lights in the shape of the American flag Ram added this unique design discreetly to the rampage as it takes only a small part of the entire tail light. Each trim package available for the new Ram rampage will include trim specific details on the exterior. Although these exterior details will be subtle, they'll clearly show what each of the trims emphasis is. We'll cover trim specifics a little bit later functional interior. When designing the new rampages, interior ram decide to fully focus on the driver and passengers. This means that the entire interior is made to be functional and comfortable. Aside from being functional and comfortable, the new rampages interior will include premium quality materials across all trim levels. Higher trims will include either full leather or a leather suede combination for the seats and upholstery using premium quality materials will drastically improve its appeal other than comfortable needs wrapped in high quality materials. The new Ra M will feature a large infotainment system positioned in the middle of the dashboard. A lot of the features are accessible from the 12.3 inch touchscreen and the user interface is made in a way not to make the driver look for specific functions. Higher trim packages won't include only improved materials but standard functions too. The highest trim package is expected to include ambient lighting and an improved Harmon card on sound system among other things, safety features and equipment. One of the strong points of the new ra M rampage is definitely the wide range of standard features and equipment offered. Even in the base trim package, we've mentioned the nine speed automatic transmission will be standard across all trims, but four by four drive will come standard too. Aside from this buyers can expect standard adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking and much more. Although the standard features don't provide a wow factor. The combination with the rams four by four drive will keep the driver and passenger safe off-road performance. The fact that even the base version of the new ra M rampage comes with four by four drive is standard. It's clear that stante planned on making an off-road capable compact pickup truck. Despite the turbo diesel power train having almost a 100 horsepower less than its gasoline powered equivalent, it offers a similar amount of torque as a hurricane engine when it comes to off-road performance. The vehicle's torque plays a significant role in how the vehicle will react when facing a difficult trade and uneven terrain. The in line for turbocharged hurricane is a significant upgrade when it comes to off road capability as it offers slightly more torque but a lot more horsepower paired with four by four drive. This compact pickup is the ideal choice for everyone looking for a flexible pickup that can overcome the challenges found in the great outdoors trim packages. The new ra M rampage will be available in a total of three trim options. The most basic trim option is called Rebel, followed by the Laramie and lastly, the RT, which is Ram's most advanced trim package intended for the new rampage being that the Rebel trim is Ram's base trim for the new rampage. People expect it to be bared to the bone regarding features and equipment. However, the rampage rebel actually includes a wide range of interesting features and makes it a great choice if you're not looking for something very specific. The interior is good. The exterior look is great and the only downside of the rebel trim is that the rampage comes with the less powerful diesel version of the engine. The Laramie trim is definitely a step up compared to the rebel trim and it includes a few additional features and amenities that can't be found on the rebel trim. These include fine leather seats, led lights, both in the front and rear, larger rims and a variety of chrome details on the rampage's exterior. The mid-tier trim won't take away the rampage's off-road capability or anything else, but it will rather add capability to the list of this truck's features. The last and most powerful trim option for the new RA M Rampage is the RT trim. It'll have all the Rams best features and equipment and it will also include a plethora of exterior differences compared to the previous two trims the RT trim focuses on luxury and performance. So aside from it, having leather suede seats and upholstery, the RA M rampage RT will also be pretty capable in offloading and speed. As you can guess. The Ra M Rampage RT will come with a 2.0 L hurricane engine as standard. Interestingly enough, the RT is the most capable trim, but it doesn't include all terrain tires like the rebel trim release date and prices. The new Ram Rampage is already available in the South American market. And the fact that the first batch of the new Ram Rampage truck was sold out in less than an hour proves that it's exactly what the market wants. A capable compact pickup truck that won't break the bank even in higher trim options when it comes to the US version of the new Ra M Rampage, it's expected that most design aspects will remain the same with little to no changes compared to the South American version. The exact release date hasn't been announced by ST Anti. However, it's expected that the new truck will hit up American streets in mid 2024 with the 2025 model. The reason for Ra M to put its new truck on the market almost a year after it was available in Brazil isn't because it's still in the design process, but rather because it's likely that it will have sourcing issues and won't be able to meet the demands of the market. Keep in mind that the first batch of Ram's new truck was 500 units and it's sold out in a matter of minutes when it comes to the price, it's still too early to tell what the exact price will be due to the rampage being a few months from officially becoming available. But the starting price for the new truck in Latin America is pretty high. But when the truck arrives in the USA, the price might get lower and be around $29,000 if they want to compete in the compact pickup truck market. This is more than the Ford Maverick or Hyundai, Santa Cruz. However, Ra M offers a much wider variety of states features compared to its competitors, which justifies the price in some regard. The most expensive trim will be the RT and it's expected that it will cost up to $56,000. Also keep in mind that these prices are based on the current resource availability and in case the RA M is made in small numbers like in the South American market. So if the ramp page is made in larger quantities and resources become easier to get, it's likely that the US market will get this amazing compact pickup even at a more affordable price.
