Theodore Rose

I graduated with a degree in Music Composition from Marshall University in 2007. My primary instrument was voice, and I studied classically as a lyric-dramatic baritone and haute-contre countertenor. I have performed in operas while attending school, and musical theater programs for several amateur and semi-professional theater companies locally. My primary skills as a vocalist and voice-over artist come from my wide vocal range, keen understanding of vocal pedagogy for speaking and singing in a variety of styles, languages, and accents, and a love of character voices. As a voice teacher, I have worked with singers of all ages, newscasters, members of the trans-community, and many local theater students - all striving to widen their tonal palette and find their most authentic voice. I have taken several years of Spanish. While I cannot say I am fluent, I have often surprised teachers with my natural ability to imitate the accents well. I also am newly learning to appreciate that I have echolalia, which yields a tendency to mimic sounds of all sorts.
