I have top-notch English comprehension and composition skills, and a fair amount of amateur acting experience, including lead roles. I was in 3 BGSU plays - Duke Frederick in Shakespeare's As You Like It 1985, "Pozzo" in Waiting for Godot 1986, and "Dad" in Everyman. My latest acting role was Dr. Burton in a small production of Cheaper By the Dozen in 2010. In my high school years 1979 through '82, I was in 3 plays & 3 musicals, played roles including Earthquake McGoon (1981 Li'l Abner), and Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly (1982.) I've been a rock band lead vocalist. Most recently in 2014 through 2017, I was a backing vocalist and bass player and I'm currently starting a new band. For many years I concentrated on a career in Engineering Support, with a side job doing PC repair and tech support. I pursued a Product Design Tech degree at BGSU before riding the AutoCAD wave to a career. Now I'm looking to do something different, and I want to revive my creative talents in both writing and acting and/or voice work. I have a relatively unique sounding voice. Acting and music are my first loves, but I was convinced to pursue Engineering for better stability and a traditional family life. I'm a self-starter, and I have some proficiency in programming. My family is grown; my wife passed in 2021, and it's time for a new chapter. I have a lot to offer re: vocal talents as well as character acting. I have strong memorization and mimicking strengths. I take direction well too.
