Laurie Meakins

The most relevant part of my life experience to Voices.com is my occupation as a telemarketer over the last 22 years. This has largely focused on cold calling small businesses throughout Australia and New Zealand.
During this period I spent 8 years working full time for CFO on Call - a franchise of regional business management advisors. My role was to set up appointments with local businesses to help the advisors build their client portfolios.
Much earlier in my career I held a government position as district agronomist at Dubbo in central western NSW. In this role I frequently addressed groups of local farmers at field days and meetings. I also did a few sessions on agricultural topics for local radio and TV.
During the last two years I have been working remotely for a solar installation company in Melbourne. I am calling businesses there to set appointments for our local sales people.
My hobbies and personal interests include gardening, bushwalking, travel, surfing, reading, the natural environment, history, watching movies and documentaries & trading cryptocurrencies
