How Do I Ensure I Receive Voices Emails?

  1. Ensure you’re opted in to receiving Voices emails. You can do this by logging in, going to the Profile thumbnail dropdown at the top right of the page, clicking on Account Settings from the dropdown, and then clicking on Notifications. At the bottom of this page you’ll see Email Settings. Make sure you’ve checked the box to receive Voices emails and save changes at the bottom of the page.

  2. Make sure you’ve marked emails from Voices as safe, so they don’t go to your spam or junk folders.

  3. Custom email domains like @yourname.com may block or delay emails sent from Voices as part of a security measure. This means that emails are being successfully sent from Voices but the provider can slow the delivery of the email by hours or even days to review it for spam. We recommend having a separate gmail account for Voices to ensure emails aren't being blocked.

How Do I Manage Email Notifications?

If you no longer want to receive Voices emails, you can unsubscribe from the bottom of one of the emails we send to you.

If you’d still like to receive emails regarding job invitations, but you no longer want to receive any other emails from Voices, you can do so in your Account Settings by logging in, going to the Profile thumbnail dropdown at the top right of the page, clicking on Account Settings from the dropdown, and then clicking on Notifications. At the top of the page, you’ll see Job Invitation Settings and can mark your preferences there. Make sure to save changes at the bottom of the page.

Reducing Notifications From Jobs Within Specific Budget Ranges

To update your notification settings, navigate to your Profile thumbnail at the top-right and click Account Preferences. Clear the checkmark from any budget range for which you no longer require notification and click “Save Changes.”

Receiving Email Notifications For Jobs That Do Not Match Your Email Preferences

There are two possible reasons for your email notification settings to be overridden:

  1. Fixed price postings

  2. Private invitations

About Fixed Price Postings

If the job invitation you received was a single number rather than a range, the job was created by the client with a fixed price.

As fixed rate jobs do not fall within our predetermined budgets, the current budget filters you have set up will not filter these jobs out. If you are not interested in the project, please just delete the email and job from your Hiring list.
