It's sleepy outside, written and narrated by me Andrew Gregory. We have eaten our supper and taken a bath. It seems like it's time for the sun to take a nap outside gets dark as inside grows quiet in a few moments the moon will be lighted. If we listen closely, we can hear the sounds of the sleepy outside when the sun goes down, ribbit, ribbit or what's that sound? Could it be a frog as it burrows underground, getting cozy and it's whole under the log, let's say goodnight to the sleepy frog. Now let's listen closely and see what we hear, chirp, chirp chirp chirp. I think that means that cricket is near. Let's look around and see if we find it over there on the tree. I think that he climbed it on the tops of the trees as the moonlight dances closer, Hoot hoot hoot hoot! And the sky look up as an owl flies over, weaving her way through darkness and branches. Let's watch her quietly and see where she latches! Oh my! Did you see that? The brightness and flashes? What could it be? A glow worm that passes lighting up the sky like a candle in the night, watching him flutter on his dizzying flight as the darkness swoops in and the minutes tick by the light, some creatures wake up as some say goodnight with a snort and a grunt. A bear wakes in delight on a search for food as he does each night. Sometimes it's honey and sometimes it's trash. Other times the bear says that bugs will pass with a shuffle and a mood the cow settle in some sleep, standing while some start to bend down onto the field, laying under the stars. They gaze up in wonder like us from afar over the tips of the tall grass across the fields all around. If you watch patiently you may catch a glimpse of something brown with a spring and a Boeing. A mama rabbit passes by rushing her way home to tell her babes goodnight! As the moon crushed the clouds at the top of the sky, one last animal arrives to say good night, watching us bravely from the high mountain side, papa wolf walking with his pack, stride for stride. He will let us know he's there with a howl in a bark, keeping the world safe when everything gets dark, the night set of clothes so before the sun starts to rise let's now take time to rest and close our eyes. We have looked all around at the sleepy outside. The last thing we do is say goodnight.
